About the Film
A Pharisee invites Jesus to have dinner at His house. They’re eating when a woman, a prostitute, approaches Jesus. Everyone in the house stares, including the Pharisee. When the woman starts to cry, Jesus sits and waits.

Her tears fall on the feet of Jesus. She bends and starts to wipe His feet with her hair. The others gasp. Jesus continues to let her weep and wipe His feet. The Pharisee thinks that Jesus might not be a prophet. Because as a prophet, He would know that the woman was a prostitute. And He wouldn’t allow her to touch Him.

Jesus tells the Pharisee He has a story for Him. He says that there were two men who owed money to someone. One owed 500 silver coins. The other owed 50. Neither men could pay their debt. So the lender canceled both debts. Jesus asks which man loved the lender more for what he’d done. The Pharisee says, "The one who was forgiven more."

Jesus nods and turns to the woman. He mentions how the Pharisee gave Him no water to wash His feet. But the woman has not stopped washing His feet. The Pharisee didn’t welcome Him with a kiss. But the woman has not stopped kissing His feet. In her love, she shows how much she’s been forgiven. Jesus declares her sins forgiven.

What do the Pharisee expect Jesus to be?

What do the woman know Jesus to be?

How can we show how much we’ve been forgiven?
